Summer is Here! No comments yet

When I lived on the East Coast, this weekend was a really big deal. Memorial Day Weekend means the unofficial start of summer. Thank You Mr. Groundhog No comments yet

Ater spending a week in Florida over Christmas, it was really hard to come back home and be subjected to the bitter cold. We have had temperatures in the teens and twenties ever since I got back, and we have had snow several times, too. I miss the warm Florida weather and can’t wait for spring.

At least the groundhog did not see his shadow this morning. So we should have an early Spring, if the groundhog is right this year!

It will be strange not having all the Yankee decorations and my own decorated tree to look at in the morning. But I did put up my tree at home and it will be there for me when I get back next week.

Full of Turkey No comments yet

What a great Thanksgiving dinner I just ate! OMG! It was all the traditional oven roasted turkey and all the side dishes – and everything was delicious! I was in the kitchen almost all day long cooking it all. Even though it was just three of us sitting down to eat, it was worth all the work. We have enough for leftovers for at least 3 days of good food. Yum!
