I like eggs just about any way you want to fix them. I love soft boiled eggs with fresh white bread buttered and cut into thin strips for dipping into the yolk. I love fried eggs, over easy or over hard – doesn’t matter to me. Poached eggs are good on toast. Hard boiled are great – I have three in the refrigerator right now!
Although I gave up TV by choice a couple days ago, some people lost their TV today when all the stations switched to digital.
Some people who don’t have cable were able to get a converter box so their old TVs will still owrk after today. But without that converter, a lot of people are now without TV.
I’m trying an experiment today. I am not going to turn on the TV at all. I’m concerned that I will miss the evening newscast. But other than the news, there is nothing on the TV schedule that catches my interest at all. Even the Criminal Minds show is a repeat and I know I’ve seen it. Watching those shows a second time is never all that interesting, as you already know who the bad guy is and how they catch him. So I’m going to find something else to do for entertainment tonight. No TV.
Last time we pulled into a Sonic Drive In, we ordered chili dogs. They were great. They have options, too. I like my chili dogs to have to chopped, fresh sweet onion on top. Sonic does that if you asked for it. Some people like grated cheese on theirs. Sonic does that, too.
There are different brands of hot dogs, too. At home I use the Ballpark brand, but the ones at Sonic were good. I would order them again – with onion rings and a Route 44 cherry limeade!
Hungry for a snack and no fruit in the house. What to do?
I popped open a package of saltine crackers and topped the crackers with an assortment of cheeses and jellies. I love the combination of orange marmalade with cheddar cheese on a cracker. I also like a dab of plum jam and American cheese together. You can try different crackers, too. The different cheeses taste different on the different crackers. Try it!
