With all the mushrooms that have been popping up in my lawn, I bet there have been some fairies dancing in my yard at night. Something is sure getting my dogs exciting about dusk each night. They sit at the window and bark. But when I go to the window and look out, I don’t see anything. I bet those fairies just fly off and hide when they see me coming to the window!
Just found out that a wonderful woman that I used to work for is expecting her first baby. I had heard rumors that she got married last year and now that she is having a baby, her domestic duties will increase ten fold. I wonder how she will handle that? It is a huge change from being a successful business woman!
This makes the third friend this year that is having a baby. We have a little baby boom going one. Maybe this is a side effect of the recessions. People have no money to go out for their entertainment, so they find something else (wink wink) to do.
My father passed away several years ago. But i always think of him on September 12, his birthday. He died in September, but I don’t remember that date as easily as I remember his birth day.
Daddy got cancer when I was in my teens. He was sick for a little over one year and then he got so bad he had to stay in the hospital for about 2 weeks. But there was nothing they could do at that point except try to keep the pain away. I hate those memories, but I have lots of really good ones of my Daddy. So I focus on the happy memories and wish he was still here with us so we could bring him a cake and sing Happy Birthday to him again.
